Join me for a deeply grounding long weekend of practice and study within the peaceful rhythm of ashram life.

Through daily hatha yoga, pranayama, meditation, mythology and philosophy teachings, shared meals, and spacious time for rest and reflection, this retreat is designed to support genuine depth and connection.

Together, we’ll explore Yoga not as performance or productivity, but as a meaningful and transformative way of living.

There is something deeply transformative about stepping away from ordinary life for a few days and entering a different rhythm.

A quieter rhythm.
A simpler rhythm.

A rhythm centred around practice, presence, community, and rest.

This retreat is an invitation into that experience.

From October 23-25, I’ll be gathering with a small group of yoga teachers and dedicated students at the Yoga Association of Victoria Ashram Retreat Centre for a weekend of traditional hatha yoga, mythology, philosophy, meditation, connection, and genuine immersion in ashram life.

This is not a luxury retreat or a Yoga holiday. It’s something rarer than that.

A chance to experience Yoga as a way of life.

Over the weekend, we’ll share nourishing vegetarian meals, daily practice, meaningful conversations, quiet moments, philosophy teachings, laughter, rest, and the kind of community that forms when people slow down enough to really be together.

If you’ve been craving depth, sincerity, and connection in your practice again, I created this retreat for you.

There are many beautiful yoga retreats out there.

But what feels increasingly rare is the opportunity to immerse yourself in traditional practice in a way that feels grounded, spacious, and genuinely connected to the roots of Yoga.

That’s what I want this weekend to offer.

Not endless activities.
Not packed schedules.
Not performative wellness culture.

Just real practice.

The kind that helps you hear yourself think again.
The kind that softens your nervous system.
The kind that reminds you why you fell in love with Yoga in the first place.

The ashram setting itself is a huge part of this experience. There’s something profoundly regulating about spending a few days in a space where practice is woven naturally through the day, where meals are shared, where silence is welcomed, and where life becomes a little simpler for a while.

You are welcome exactly as you are.

The Practice

Each day will include:

  • Traditional hatha yoga practices

  • Meditation and pranayama

  • Yogic philosophy and mythology teachings

  • Time for reflection, journalling, and rest

  • Shared vegetarian meals

  • Space for meaningful conversation and connection

  • Time in nature and quiet ashram living

My approach to teaching is grounded, practical, thoughtful, and deeply informed by traditional Yoga teachings.

I’ve been practicing Yoga since I was eight years old, and teaching since 2009. Over the years I’ve taught classes, workshops, trainings, retreats, and immersions throughout Australia, Bali, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, Europe, and the USA. I’ve taught in studios, corporate settings, online spaces, retreat centres, and even a men’s prison.

And after all these years, what I still care about most is helping people experience Yoga as something real and transformative rather than performative.

The practices on this retreat are designed to support depth rather than intensity.
Presence rather than perfection.
Inquiry rather than achievement.

Alongside asana, we’ll spend time exploring mythology and philosophy in ways that are practical, alive, and deeply relevant to modern life and teaching.

These won’t be dry academic lectures.

They’ll be thoughtful conversations and teachings that invite reflection, insight, and deeper understanding of what it actually means to live Yoga.

I know there are many retreats you could choose from, and I don’t take it lightly when someone decides to spend a weekend practicing with me.

Yoga has been part of my life for almost as long as I can remember. I started practicing when I was eight years old, and over time it became far more than movement or exercise for me. It became a framework for living, relating, growing, and understanding myself.

I’ve now been teaching for more than 15 years, and in that time I’ve had the privilege of guiding students through retreats, workshops, mythology immersions, philosophy trainings, pranayama practices, teacher mentoring, and yoga classes around the world.

But more than anything, I’m still a student myself.

I still love being in the practice.
I still love studying the teachings.
I still find myself humbled by Yoga again and again.

And that’s the spirit I hope this retreat holds.

Not hierarchy.
Not perfection.
Not performance.

Just sincere practice, shared together.

One of the most meaningful parts of every retreat I run is always the people.

There is something incredibly special about gathering with other yoga teachers and dedicated students who care deeply about practice, growth, honesty, and living with integrity.

The conversations over tea.
The laughter after class.
The unexpected moments of recognition and connection.

So many people leave retreat saying they came for the yoga but were deeply impacted by the community they found there.

This is not networking.

It’s genuine connection.

A chance to spend time with people who understand why this practice matters to you.

You’re craving more depth in your practice

  • You miss the traditional roots of Yoga

  • You want time away from the constant noise of everyday life

  • You long to reconnect with yourself

  • You want philosophy teachings that actually feel relevant and alive

  • You want to practice in a non-performative environment

  • You’re seeking thoughtful community with other yoga teachers and students

  • You want to remember why Yoga mattered to you in the first place

Food is such an important part of the retreat experience, and one of the beautiful aspects of ashram life is the opportunity to eat in a slower, more conscious, and deeply nourishing way.

Throughout the weekend, we’ll share simple, delicious vegetarian meals prepared in the spirit of sattvic living.

In the yogic tradition, sattvic food is designed to support clarity, steadiness, vitality, and inner peace. Fresh, wholesome, balanced meals become part of the practice itself, helping to nourish not only the body, but also the mind and nervous system.

There is something incredibly grounding about gathering together around warm food, cups of tea, and unhurried conversation after practice. And much of the produce is grown on the ashram grounds themselves.

The Rocklyn Ashram has been a place of yogic practice, retreat, and community for decades, offering people the opportunity to experience Yoga not simply as exercise, but as a lived and integrated tradition.

The ashram continues in the Satyananda Yoga tradition and offers an environment where the many branches of Yoga — including hatha, bhakti, karma, mantra, raja, and jnana yoga — are practiced as part of everyday life.

What I love most about the ashram is that it genuinely feels like stepping into another world. There is a rhythm and intentionality to life there that is increasingly rare. Morning practice, shared meals, chanting, quiet reflection, connection with nature, and community living are all woven naturally into the experience. Over the years, the ashram has welcomed retreat guests, long-term residents, yoga students, and spiritual seekers looking for a more meaningful and conscious way of living.

Accommodation at the ashram is simple, comfortable, and intentionally uncomplicated.

This is not luxury accommodation, and that is very much part of the experience. Ashram living invites us to step away from excess and distraction and rediscover the quiet ease of simplicity. The rooms are peaceful, clean, and surrounded by nature, creating the perfect environment to properly rest, reset, and settle into the rhythm of practice.

Over the years, I’ve found that some of the most meaningful retreat experiences happen not because everything is extravagant, but because everything is real.

The ashram sits on the edge of the beautiful Wombat State Forest near Daylesford, surrounded by silence, native bushland, walking trails, birdsong, and enormous skies.

There is something deeply regulating about being immersed in nature for a few days. Away from traffic, constant notifications, noise, and overstimulation, the nervous system begins to soften. The pace slows. Breathing changes. You remember what it feels like to have space around your thoughts again.

There will be plenty of time throughout the weekend to walk, rest, journal, sit quietly with a cup of tea, or simply enjoy the natural beauty surrounding the ashram.

Optional Bonus Day: Abundant Yoga Business Intensive

An intimate one-day business immersion for yoga teachers and holistic practitioners ready to grow with more clarity, confidence, and sustainability.

After spending the weekend immersed in practice, philosophy, and ashram life together, you’ll have the option to stay for an additional small-group business intensive focused on helping you build a yoga business that is both abundant and aligned.

Because so many yoga teachers are deeply devoted to their practice… but quietly struggling with the business side of things.

Not because they lack talent.
Not because they aren’t working hard enough.
But because most teachers were never actually taught how to create sustainable, supportive businesses around the work they love.

This bonus day is designed to help change that.

Together, we’ll explore the practical, strategic, and energetic aspects of growing a yoga business in a way that feels grounded, authentic, and deeply connected to your values. This is not hustle culture, performative marketing, or corporate business coaching.

It’s thoughtful, practical mentorship for people who care deeply about both Yoga and the people they serve.

During the Intensive We’ll Explore:

  • Clarifying your authentic voice and offerings

  • Creating sustainable and aligned income streams

  • Marketing without feeling pushy or “salesy”

  • Pricing, boundaries, and receiving abundance with integrity

  • Building community and student retention

  • Visibility and confidence as a teacher

  • Social media without overwhelm

  • Identifying what is actually moving your business forward

  • Reconnecting with your purpose and long-term vision

Over the years, I’ve supported yoga teachers around the world through retreats, immersions, workshops, mentoring, coaching programs, and the Abundant Yoga Teachers Podcast. What I care about most is helping teachers build businesses that support their lives and wellbeing rather than draining them.

Date: October 22, 2026
Investment: $500 AUD
Includes: Lunch and full-day intensive
Limited to: 10 participants only
Suitable for: Yoga teachers, trainees, coaches, and holistic practitioners

This is intentionally being kept very small so there is plenty of space for personalised support, meaningful discussion, and individual coaching throughout the day.

I genuinely believe it is possible to grow a thriving yoga business without abandoning your values, exhausting yourself, or disconnecting from the heart of the practice. If you’ve been craving time to step back, think clearly about your business, and receive genuine support around your next steps, I’d love for you to join me.

This retreat is an opportunity to step out of performance, pressure, and busyness and return to the heart of Yoga.

Together, we’ll spend three days immersed in traditional hatha yoga, philosophy, mythology, meditation, and shared ashram life in the peaceful surrounds of the Yoga Association of Victoria.

Designed for yoga teachers and sincere practitioners alike, this weekend offers space to slow down, practice deeply, reconnect with yourself, and experience Yoga as a lived tradition rather than simply a class.
