September Abundant Yoga Teacher QnA Open Mike.

September Abundant Yoga Teacher QnA Open Mike.

I have THE BEST job in the world.

Seriously.

I get to sit in my cute country cottage, dog at my side, talking for hours with amazing Yoga teachers just like you.

  • Planning retreat launches.

  • Mapping out marketing plans.

  • Dissolving visibility blocks and barriers.

  • Busting through limiting beliefs and fear of failure.

Honestly, being a Yoga Biz Coach seriously floats my boat.

That's why once a month I throw open the virtual doors to my office and offer everyone an opportunity to work with me gratis.

Nice, eh?

I hope you enjoy catching up on the Abundant Yoga Teacher Weekly Call: Monthly QnA Open Mike.

On today's call I also shared some pretty exciting new ways we can work together. You can check them out using the buttons below - be quick, because numbers are strictly limited for each offering!

Abundant Yoga Teacher Bookclub: September

Abundant Yoga Teacher Bookclub: September

If it wasn't for you, I'd still be buying up Yoga books, laying them with determination on my bedside table and... never getting around to reading them!

Thankfully, every six weeks or so I declare to you and the thousands of other awesome Yoga teachers in this community that I'm going to read a couple... and then I bloody have to!

So thanks for keeping me accountable in the Yoga-nerd department!

All of this means, of course, that the Abundant Yoga Teacher Bookclub was on again today - catch up now!

The books we discussed this month are:

The Yoga of the Nine Emotions,
Peter Marchand

Mahamantra Yoga,
Richard Whitehurst

Working with Adbhuta Rasa and the Inner Critic

Working with Adbhuta Rasa and the Inner Critic

Does that voice in your head - your inner critic - sometimes get in your way? You don’t have what it takes to build an abundant Yoga business. You aren’t a good enough teacher. There is something wrong with you… so it’s not a good idea to post your thoughts and photos on social media.

All of this inner critic chatter can slow you down or even stop you in your tracks.

In this weekly call I’m sharing how we can apply the teachings of Rasa Yoga to deal with the inner critic. I’ll also share my inner critic process to drop judgement and fear and embrace the true teachings of your inner critic, for business success and personal growth. I think you'll find it fun!

The Importance of being a Karma Yogi in your Biz

The Importance of being a Karma Yogi in your Biz

Kama and Karma. Two terms I ADORE in Yoga and two that sometimes get us tied up in philosophical knots!

On the weekly call I'm chatting about both of these concepts and how they apply to being an Abundant Yoga Business Owner.

Enjoy!

How Hanuman Got His Name and Why it Matters in Biz

How Hanuman Got His Name and Why it Matters in Biz

Over the past couple of weeks I've been very fortunate to chat with some of the world's leading Yoga teachers (more on that soon ;)

A common theme that has come up during these discussions is understanding your own humanity, showing up authentically, having self-compassion and 'making your mess your message'.

Think about it: what brought YOU to Yoga? Is it a coincidence that students come to you now seeking the same thing?

So this is our topic at hand for today and on the Abundant Yoga Teacher Weekly Call I'm sharing one of my favourite Yoga stories (or a smidge of one!) and how it relates to being an abundant Yoga teacher, and making YOUR mess your message!

How to be warm & personable with great boundaries

How to be warm & personable with great boundaries

How hilarious is this pic... What you can't see is that I am standing under a sign that says 'Hercules'. So it's still daggy, but its not quite as random a bicep engagement as you first might think...

Anyhoo....

Today on the weekly call I'm talking about boundaries. How to have strong (see: pic relevance!) ones without feeling bitchy, snarky or downright 'non-yoga-ey'??

3 Essential Considerations for Planning Your First Yoga Retreat

3 Essential Considerations for Planning Your First Yoga Retreat

Earlier this week I launched my brand new Telecourse 'How to create, offer and lead amazing Yoga retreats'. It is going to be a cracker! You can find out more about it here:
http://www.amymcdonald.com.au/amazingretreats

To celebrate we are going all things RETREAT on the call today.

So whether you love the idea of teaching retreats but you're not sure where to start
OR
You've run retreats in the past and come home with less money and WAY less energy...

You'll LOVE today's call!

If leading amazing Yoga retreats is something you desire to do - or DO BETTER - and you’d prefer to not figure it out alone, then I’d strongly encourage you to register for my new program now.

In this 4-part virtual training program you'll learn:

  • The exact steps to take to create a Yoga Retreat that enables you to fully share your talents and passions while supporting your students AND generating abundance in your business.

  • The simple marketing requirements to offer your Yoga Retreat so you feel authentic and aligned with your people and know that you can connect with the students who need what you have to offer (without ever feeling pushy or salesy!)

  • How to price your Retreat and the why and how of staging your pricing to incentivise registrations earlier rather than later (hint: no sleepless nights!)

  • How to stay grounded, confident and empowered as the Retreat leader so your participants have an incredible time receiving teachings and support from you & you don't return home feeling exhausted and frazzled!

3 Simple Online Design Tips for Yoga Teachers

3 Simple Online Design Tips for Yoga Teachers

Are you clear on your brand of Yoga?

A clear, strong brand is one of the best ways your perfect students can find you and desire to come to your classes and workshops.

And the great news? A strong brand is as simple as you being completely yourself: what a relief, right?

So how do we determine what our brand is, and then how do we convey that... particularly online?

Great question!

Listen to this week's Podcast for some answers!

Lineage and History with Phil Goldberg

I am thrilled to share with you my interview with Phillip Goldberg, the author of 'American Veda:  From Emerson and the Beatles to Yoga' which is one of our current book club reads.

(The other is 'Yoga Body: The Origins of Modern Posture Practice' by Mark Singleton)

In this interview Phil shared just a teeny tiny bit (a 45-minute Bija!) of his incredible insight, knowledge and study of the history of Yoga in the west, including some stories you might not have heard before.

Phil also spoke a little about his AH-mazing tour of India coming up (I'm already booked in!) and his next book (hint: biography of a Yogi...). Enjoy!

I also gave some sneaky news about some bonuses available when you register for the next Growing Your Yoga Biz intake before the end of May. You can get all the details about that at the link below.
